Civil pressure on representative authorities
Deputies of the House of Representatives neglected their duties and didn’t respond to the fraud and violence in the 2020 elections. Most Belarusians had never appealed to the Parliament before. Hundreds of meetings and calls with deputies were initiated. Мore than 50,000 people joined the initiative groups to recall the deputies. The regime had to break the law in order to protect the parliamentarians. Voters continued to send complaints and applications.
