Discussion of the draft Constitution of a New Belarus with the participation of Belarusians
Long before Lukashenka’s "referendum" was announced, the democratic forces had prepared a draft People’s Constitution. *Honest People organized a public discussion among Belarusians. It was possible not only to discuss the project, but also to propose changes to it and vote on disputed issues. Belarusians not only created a draft constitution for a New Belarus but also demanded that it be submitted to the referendum. The Public сonstitutional Commission processed more than 1,500 proposals from citizens and, on their basis, amended the project.
The People’s Constitution campaign was the first on *Honest Choice platform.
